Free Games Review - Sushi Go Round

Following in the footsteps of popular games such as Cake Mania and Burger Island, Sushi Go Round puts you in a in the role you always dreamed of - a sushi chef! This is one of my favorite free games partially due to the casual nature of the game and I think it is a clever twist on these multi-tasking games.

The game play element is simple, you start with 6 ingredients that can place on a sushi mat and following the recipes provided in the recipe book, create different items from the menu. Watch out if you mess up the recipe because you will create a plate of mush that wastes valuable ingredients. You will quickly run out of the various ingredients so you have the option to phone and order more supplies but careful, it will cost you money. A nice part of this game is they have removed the serving portion of the game and let you focus on being the chef by having an in game conveyor belt whisk the food away to your customers. The goal is to make a certain amount of money per day so you have to manage your ingredient costs vs your profit costs. Each day will end when the day timer in the top of the screen runs out and each day progressively gets more difficult.

My one complaint is the conveyor belt is one way so if the customers start lining up in the game, a new person could sit down and accidentally steal a waiting customers food! You want to avoid angering the customers as they will leave if they do not receive their food in a certain amount of time. Luckily, you have a few bottles of sake you can give to impatient customers to help them be less anxious.

Within a few minutes you will be whizzing and whirling various pieces of raw fish, nori, rice and wrapping them like a professional chef all the while humming the cheerful little game tune playing as background music. This game should be able to be completed within 30 minutes and no in-game save functionality was built it. If you are looking for an entertaining free online game, look no further than Sushi Go Round!

Ned is a big free online games fan and can always show you some good free 3D games.
